FloBoost™ Technology
FloBoost™ Technology is specifically designed and developed for the varying water pressure conditions in New Zealand.  It has been designed to improve the performance of the water flow to your shower.
Many homes in NZ operate with unequal hot and cold water pressure.  This type of water pressure can give you poor mixed water flow, particularly in the shower.  It is important to choose the right product for your situation – using mixers designed for mains pressure on your unequal pressure system could leave you disappointed with your choice, since they will not perform satisfactorily.

FloBoost™ shower mixers maximise the hot water flow to give the best possible result when mixed.  We have done this through our unique design and the results are comparatively better mixed flow rate for shower mixing and with less sensitivity in the temperature change.

Low-Lead DZR Brass
Also known as lead-free, this new material technology is combining the best of both materials – DZR Brass & Low lead brass, that is starting to be used in the world plumbing industries purely from a health perspective.

All products will have less than 0.10% lead content which is far below the worlds most stringent standards (NSF Standard) as well as improved corrosion resistance therefore eliminating the possible leaching of zinc into the water.

DZR Brass – Dezincification resistant brass is used for fittings in potable water when brass is expected to be exposed to aggressive conditions and combinations of pH and chlorides – it eliminates the possible leaching of zinc into the water from the brass componentry.  DZR brass is a requirement to comply with Australian Watermark Standards.

Low-lead Brass – Low-lead brass is defined under state and federal water legislation in the USA as “not more than a weighted average of 0.25% lead when used with respect to the wetted surfaces of pipes, pipe  fittings, plumbing fittings, and fixtures.”  Low-lead brass is a requirement for NSF certified products in the USA.

Stainless Steel 304

The ALFRESCO range of sink mixers are made from solid 304 Stainless Steel.  304 Stainless Steel is the most common of the grades of stainless steel. The steel contains both chromium and nickel metals.  It is not very electrically or thermally conductive, and is non-magnetic. It has a higher corrsion resistance than regular steel, but despite its name it is not fully stain-proof, most notably under low-oxygen, high salinity, or poor-circulation environments.  Chlorides in airborne sea spray, rain and dry salt particles carried by the wind may cause pitting and rusting of stainless steel.  The distance airborne salt is carried can vary significantly from city to city and town to town.  Therefore coastal outdoor installations of the ALFRESCO range are not recommended.

Stainless steel is very easy to maintain. It doesn’t absorb dirt with the smudges staying on the surface of the steel. It is also a non-porous material which means that a simple wipe will leave it clean of both dirt and germs.
